Nana's Visit and Pumpkin Fun

My mom came for a visit last weekend to celebrate Lily's birthday with her. We started the weekend at the Run for Rina which is always a special and fun day!

We sang to Lily one last time and had the neighborhood girls over for cupcakes.

On Sunday we went to the movies and also headed to Doctor's Care because Grace had what we thought was some type of rash. The doctor told me she probably had the chicken pox which just about put me in panic mode. Brooks took her to the pediatrician on Monday and it ended up being a bad reaction to lots of bug bites (NOT the chicken pox). The poor girl has them all over (ears, bottom of feet) and has been such a trooper about it!

Speaking of troopers, this is one tough girl! She was determined to get her ears pierced and is doing great with them. She has been sick this week and we are hoping she is back to normal tomorrow for trick or treat fun.

Birthday and Weekend Fun...

We started the birthday celebration with Disney on Ice, a present from Nana and Papa...

They loved the show, it really was great!

 On sunday we went to the Kids Day Festival...

Grace danced with her jazz class, she did a great job!!

Lily had her party at Gymasters Academy, where she takes gymnastics class. Her theme was Frozen, of course! She invited the girls in her class, the 4 year olds from the neighborhood (we have lots of those), my friends kiddos and of course her cousins...

We had lots of fun eating oysters and hanging out after the party, such a fun weekend celebrating our 5 year old!

Happy 5th Birthday Lily!

I just tucked in my four year old for the last time, I can't believe my baby will officially be 5 in the morning! Lily is such an amazing little girl and I feel so lucky to be her mom. She is sweet, talented, independent, short tempered, and energetic. Lily wants to be my baby forever and well, she will always be the baby of this family...

At five years old, Lily loves to draw and is very creative. She loves to play babies, read books, dress up, dance and sing. When she grows up she wants to be a mommy and an artist. She is still on medicine for reflux and asthma. I have flashbacks of the never ending cough and still can't believe what a good baby she was through all of it. Her favorite color is pink and she still loves to watch Micky Mouse. Lily loves to smile for the camera, but doesn't really like to be the center of attention. I am looking forward to this year with my big girl!!

Pumpkin Patch

Fall is my favorite time of year! I love anything pumpkin, leaves, apple cider and remember visiting the pumping patch every year as a kid with my family. 

So, I get very excited about this place...
