Lily's 12 Month Stats

We finally had Lily's well visit last week. She had a good report and continues to be much higher than Grace was in her percentiles. At 12 months Grace was only in the 7th percentile for her height and weight. It look like little sis might one day out grow her big sis!

Weight: 21lbs. 4oz. (60th percentile)
Length: 29 3/4 inches (70th percentile)
Head: 44.7 cm (40th percentile)

Lily is definitely keeping us on the move. Life around here has been a little more hectic now that she is running around! I tried to get a cute birthday shot of her similar to the one we have of Grace, but she just doesn't like to sit still for too long...

Happy 1st Birthday Lily!

O.K. So I definitely stole this idea from The Dean Family , such a cute idea to see how Lily has changed each month. Lily's first year has flown by and she has changed so much throughout the year. She has recently started walking and is so proud of herself with each step she takes! Lily loves to dance, she loves balloons and bubbles and really likes being outside. Her favorite foods are bananas, peas, cheese and fries. She loves her bottle which I think will be hard for her to give up as I wean these next few months. Can't imagine life without Lily, and as fast as this year has gone by, it's hard to remember life without her. We love you Lily!

Watch Me Grow..
For some reason she looks smaller at 2 months??

Yes, months is spelled wrongin this one.
That's what happened when Lily kept picking up
the blocks when I trying to take the picture :)

Happy 1st Birthday Lily!

Lily ~ Nine Months

I just can't believe my baby is already nine months old! We won't be able to go for her well check-up until next month (it's really hard to get an appointment with our new pediatrician), but I wanted post some pics and let everyone know how she is doing.
Lily is a climber and can make it all the way up the stairs by herself(with me behind her of course). She loves to wave her hand at people and for people to "give her five". If you've been around Lily, you know that she can get loud...she loves to scream! She also makes some other funny sounds (one particular one that we need to get on video is her growl!).

Look at all that hair!

Standing up and ready to go!
Look at those beautiful blue eyes
(we get lots of compliments on those)!

Baby in Blue
I took the girls for pictures when my parents were here.
They got some good shots, but still not a great one of them together.

Lily (8 months) & Grace (2 1/2)

I am really enjoying all the time I get to spend with my two sweet girls this summer. They are growing and changing way too fast!
Lily is crawling and getting into everything! If she sees something she wants, she doesn't give up until she gets it. She usually goes for things she shouldn't play with (pine cones, spoons and hair brushes seem to be her favorite). Lily also likes to play with lots of Grace's favorite toys. I've taught Grace how to gently take back her toy while handing Lily one of her own (this works most of the time...).
Lily is also pulling up on things and Grace just loves to see her little sister stand up (she thinks it is so funny!). She also cut her first tooth a few nights ago (tried to get a picture, but it was unsuccessful). She's been waking up at night because of the teething, but still naps pretty good during the day.

Grace is pretty much potty trained now (we are still working on #2 in the potty). She loves to wear underwear and of course get an M&M for being successful. She loves to play with baby dolls, sing songs, and pretend. I'm so proud of her for being such a great big sister!
Thanks again Mary for the adorable tutu!

Growing Like a Weed!

Lily had her first doctor's appointment with her new pediatrician today and it went well, she only cried for a minute when she got her shots. Here are her stats:
Weight: 17lbs. 8oz. (85th percentile)
Height: 27 inches (90th percentile)

This doesn't seem right to me, but I didn't look at the sheet until we left. Grace was pretty cranky because she was woken up from her nap at school so we could make it to the appointment on time.

Lily started babbling last week and loves to say dadadadada, which Grace thinks is just great!
