Daddy's Boo Boo

Booker came down on Wednesday night so that he could take Brooks for his surgery on Thursday morning. He was a big help and we really appreciated him being here. Brooks is doing well, and felt a lot better on day 3 after the surgery. The girls have been very sweet and laying with him to keep him company from time to time.

Grace thinks it's funny that daddy has orange
toes (too bad they couldn't make them garnet).

Trying on Daddy's Hat
Booker and Mimi came back on Saturday for a visit and to help out. It was great to have them here, and although the Gamecocks lost -Lily looked really cute in her cheerleading outfit...

A Weekend with Mimi and Booker

Booker and Mimi came for a visit on Saturday. Grace was taking a nap when they arrived, so Lily got lots of extra special attention.

Here are some pics I took of Lily that morning.
Thanks for the adorable outfit Emily!

On Sunday Mimi and I took the girls to the pool. Grace has really been into band-aids lately and had about 5 on her leg. She got a little upset when they started coming off in the water.
Lily just loves to splash!

Brooks and his dad played tennis on Sunday morning which resulted in a pretty bad ankle injury for him. He is getting an MRI tomorrow, so I'll keep you posted...

Kelly's Birthday Weekend

Most of the Rogers family (- Sallie because she had to work) arrived on Saturday to celebrate Kelly's birthday and spend some time together. We had delicious steaks for dinner on Saturday thanks to Booker and Mimi. Time with family is always a great way to spend the weekend!

Rub a Dub Dub, Three Girls in the Tub...

Mimi gave Grace a pedicure after her bath.

On Sunday, we all headed to the beach and our friend Mark and his daughter Clare joined us too. The girls had lots of fun digging in the sand, riding in the wagon and splashing in the waves. Grace has been a little confused about the beach after our trip to Sunset. We had to explain to her that Isle of Palms was "her beach" and not Mimi's beach (which is what she calls Sunset Beach).

Clare and Lily loved the wagon...

Grace had fun splashing...

Lily loved the water and didn't even mind when she fell in face first!
After the beach, we cooked hamburgers and
fries and then enjoyed cupcakes in honor of Kelly.
Happy Birthday Aunt Kelly!
On Monday morning we walked down to the neighborhood dock to take some pictures. Although it was extremely hot, I was able to get a few good shots of Elizabeth and Kelly for her birthday.

Love this Pic...

Sunset Beach Vacation

Sadly our vacation has come to an end. We spent this past week with the Rogers and Shennan families (and a few nights with the Dukes) at Sunset Beach, North Carolina. This trip was a tradition that started when Brooks was just a little boy, but they haven't been there in quite some time. They have lots of fond memories of this beach and we definitely added to those this week. The girls had a blast playing on the beach and spending time with family and
friends. We captured lots of sweet moments on camera and I will slowly post them.

Wagon rides to and from the beach,
as well as on the beach, were a big hit with the girls.

The girls did a good job sharing Mimi...

We celebrated Aunt Sallie's 25th birthday.
Grace REALLY enjoyed the cake!

Grace decided she liked wearing hats, just like George.

Grace and Elizabeth did lots of running on the beach
One for the money, two for the show,
three to get ready and four to go-o-o...

Everyone had fun playing Adam's Rolley Ball
game, it was the hit of the beach.

Grace's First Boat Ride

Grace took her first boat ride this weekend. Brooks' parents (Mimi and Booker) were visiting and it was great weather for a boat ride. Grace wore her life jacket with no fuss and had lots of fun swimming and watching Cyra play in the water. She was very tired by the end of the trip and fell asleep on the boat ride home.
