First Grade

I can't believe that her first grade year is over, how is it possible that she will be in second grade? She has changed this year for sure in many ways. Grace loves to learn and I hope that continues throughout her school career. I loved having her at school with me on most days and LOVED our almost weekly lunch dates in the cafeteria. She adored her teacher Mrs. Tanzini who got married this year and became Mrs. Watkins.
She definitely lost her baby face this year...

I just can't get enough of the toothless smile!

Dance

This year Grace took two dance classes (tap/ballet and jazz) and Lily took one (tap/ballet). Both of the girls were invited to join a trial competition jazz class a few months ago. Grace was all about it, Lily said no thanks. Grace participated in her first dance competition last month and had lots of fun. She has really gained SO MUCH confidence on stage this year! She is all smiles and has lots of fun up there. She was so proud that she could do the dance without having to look at a teacher to remember the steps. She has decided not to continue with competition dance because it would take up too much time and she wants to play soccer and maybe do cheer or gymnastics (I am really hoping she finds her thing soon, but I'm thinking it may take a while!). Lily might do dance again and is definitely sticking with gymnastics.

Happy 10th Anniversary!

My parents spent Memorial Day weekend at our house while Brooks and I spent the weekend at Amelia Island celebrating our 10th anniversary. It was a quick, but relaxing and fun trip! Here are some pictures from the weekend...

Fun at the waterpark with Nana and Papa

I love this guy and our crazy life together!

We took lots of selfies...

Coming home from a little getaway is never fun,
but these smiles made it a lot easier...

Beach Day

First year they both made the mile without me having to piggy back anyone!

We had such a great beach day on Sunday! Lily's friend Abbie happened to be there and she was so excited to play with her outside of school. The weather was perfect and the tidal pool was full of fun things to look at including starfish, sand dollars and dolphins! The only thing I could have done without were the jellyfish, so wish I would have brought my good camera for this beach day!!

Mother's Day

On Friday I was able to sneak away from school to go to Lily's Mother's Day performance. The class sang some songs and served us muffins, it was very cute! This year my planning period is during Grace's lunch time, so I try and eat with her once a week at school. Love our lunch dates!

Lily had to answer some questions about me - too funny!!

Grace did too:
I really am going to try and get better
about getting her places on time...

Love this face!

Melt my Heart...

There is nothing better than being a mom to these two amazing girls!!

More Soccer Pics...

Soccer season is officially over. I have really enjoyed watching Grace's team! They only scored one goal this season and didn't even come close to winning a game, but they had lots of fun and never gave up trying. Grace loved playing her friend Ella's team and I love all the pictures her mother (who is a photographer) took. Lily wasn't sold on soccer this season, but Grace wants to join again (she wants to do it all, so we will see what we can work out for the fall).

She has come a long way this season...

Kindergarten Friends

We loved having Aunt Sallie and Neil
help cheer on the team (Sallie even made signs).

We celebrated the last game with a pizza lunch...

That night we went to a Battery game to cheer on coach Taylor. He has been so patient with all the girls and taught them a lot about the game. The girls yelled for him the whole game, it was too cute! After the game they got autographs from all the players, such a fun night...
