Change of Plans

We were supposed to go visit our friends Ang and Ger this weekend, but unfortunately Grace came down with a case of pink eye. So instead of heading to Camden for some fun, we went to the doctor. We were really looking forward to seeing the Hitch's, so we will have to set another date soon. Grace's eye is looking much better after a few doses of drops in her eye.

Grace's First Art Project

Grace made this at school - We have it proudly hanging on our fridge!

Nana's Weekend Visit

My mom arrived on Friday night for a weekend visit. On Saturday we took Grace to get her Easter/Spring picture taken. She wasn't really in the mood for a photo shoot, but they managed to get a few good shots of her. By the time we left JCP she seemed to be happy, so we decided to stop by and visit the Easter Bunny. There was no line, so we thought we were in luck for a quick picture. Grace, on the other hand, was not impressed at all by the big scary bunny.
No picture with the Easter bunny this year!
Nana, please get me away from that bunny!
After the mall, we headed to the Tanger Outlets
to buy Grace some summer clothes.
Grace had fun flying her first airplane.
Can you believe it costs 75 cents a ride these days?
On Sunday, the whole family went to James Island County Park for a walk and picnic lunch. Grace had fun watching people in pedal boats, bike riders and of course all the dogs.

I miss you already nana!

Outside with Mimi and Booker

Brooks' parents came for a visit on Saturday. Grace had lots of fun playing outside with her Mimi and Booker. Here are a few pics from their visit.

My New Favorite Place to Play

Grace has recently discovered our boat, which is hidden on the side of the yard. It is now her favorite place to play. She points to the boat and says, "bo." There are lots of interesting things for her to touch and see in the "bo." We can't wait until the weather gets warmer and we can actually take her for a ride in it!

Friday Happy Hour

After school on Friday, Grace and I met my friend Jackie and her little girl Taylor for "happy hour." The girls had lots of fun running around the porch at Wescott.

Ear Infection

After playing all day on Saturday, Grace ended the night with a fever of 102. On Sunday morning we decided to take her to the doctor because she still had a fever. Like we thought, she had her second ear infection. She was pretty pitiful all day.

New Sandals and Bubbles

Grace spent most of the day outside on Saturday. It was about 8O degrees and just beautiful. I decided to try a new summer outfit on her along with her sandals. Grace definitely needs to get used to the switch from sneakers to sandals. She just stood in one spot for about 5 minutes before she would even walk. It was really funny to watch her!
What kind of shoes are these?

Grace has really gotten into bubbles lately. She chases them around yelling bubbles, bubbles.

Dinner at the Masons

On Thursday, we went to Mark and Carol's house to eat dinner and watch the USC basketball game. Although they didn't win, Grace enjoyed the company.
Holding Hands - too sweet!

A Shower for Ellie

On Sunday we went to a shower honoring Kelly and Clark and their new baby Ellie. Lots of people were able to meet Ellie and she received lots of great goodies. Here are some pics from the party:

Ellie - getting sleepy from all the excitement-

Grace had fun carrying around some of Ellie's gifts, but that didn't distract her too long from wanting to go outside. It was raining and cold, but she didn't care. Outside is her favorite place to be!
She had fun "coloring" with Ellie's other cousins Parker and Peyton.
Good thing she didn't figure out how to take off the caps.

Who needs a Pack N Play?

We went to Columbia on Saturday to visit Mimi and Booker. Grace had lots of fun playing at their house, but unfortunately the weather was pretty nasty. She coaxed a few people into taking her outside to look at the rain and would have ran around in the puddles if we let her. Instead she played with Mimi's measuring cups and took a few trips up and down the stairs. We also took her to a birthday party with Aunt Sallie where she got to look at lots of fancy jewelry. Her favorite part was singing "Happy Birthday."

While we were there, Jackson was nice enough to share his crate with Grace. She had a great time climbing in and out of it. It looked like a great place for a nap, but I guess that is what the pack n play is for.
