An Early Birthday Celebration

We celebrated Grace's birthday with some cupcakes while my family was here. She was all smiles as we sang the birthday song to her and proudly blew out her candles.

Happy Thanksgiving

My family came down to visit for Thanksgiving. It was great to have them all here and introduce Lily to her aunts, uncles and cousins. Grace had a blast running around, playing and having sleepovers with her cousins. Although cooking is not one of my many talents, I think I pulled it off with the help of my sisters (and Brooks who smoked some delicious turkeys). We miss them all already!

Lily ~ One Month

Happy Birthday Brooks!

Yesterday was Brooks's birthday and we celebrated it with a yummy dinner and of course some cake. Grace just loves birthdays, especially the cake that comes with them. She was very excited to go to the store with me and pick out some cake for her daddy. Love you Brooks and hope your day was special!

Play Dates and the Library

I have been enjoying my time at home with the girls and finding lots of ways to keep Grace entertained. We have had many play dates and it's been fun to see Grace interact with other kids. We've also been going to story time at the library which has been a big hit. Grace also loves doing the puzzles and checking out the books.

Here are a few pictures from a recent play date we had with Benjamin. Benjamin has a sister that is 4 months old, so Lily and Lauren will have fun playing in the future (they both slept through this one)!

Columbia Visit

This weekend we went to Columbia with the girls. Brooks finally had a chance to go see the gamecocks play, and had a great time despite the loss. Grace started her visit by going to a Little Gym class with Mimi, Aunt Kelly and Elizabeth.

Lily was able to meet the rest of the family and had lots of visitors.

Changing Every Day

I realized today that I had not taken a picture of Lily all week. I am hoping that my love for photography will help me take just as many baby photos of Lily as I did of Grace. Lily is changing each day and is such a good baby. She sleeps great, eats great and hardly ever cries. Here are some shots I took today:

Daddy's Girls

Brooks took a few days off to spend some time with his girls and help me out. Grace just loves playing with her daddy and was sad to see him go to work today. Brooks is such a great dad and has so much patience with his daughters (wonder if that will continue when that are both teenagers?).

Mimi's Visit

Mimi came back on Sunday to help out with the girls. I had to take Lily back to the doctor on Tuesday to get another newborn screening (apparently they didn't get enough blood to be tested at the hospital). She now weighs 6 pounds 10 ounces, the girl loves to eat and wants to eat often! It was great to have Mimi here to entertain Grace while Lily was busy nursing.
