TaTa's Visit

Kristen arrived on Friday for a visit. We went out to dinner (just the two of us) on Saturday and even got in a little shopping (one of my favorite things to do with Kris). Brooks left for Las Vegas on Sunday for lots of Walgreens fun. It was so nice having "TaTa" here to help out with the girls! We went to a birthday party, spent time at the pool and the beach, went to Blackbeard's Cove and Monkey Joe's... these girls kept us busy!

Ready for Lauren's Minnie B-day Party!

The Birthday Girl

Super Star

The girls loved their Minnie Mouse ears from the party.

We picked the perfect day for the beach!
Grace had fun singing Miss Mary Mack in the water with Ta Ta.

Lily loves her Aunt!
We loved having you here, thanks again for watching the
girls all day while I was at new teacher orientation.
The summer is coming to an end for me. I have lots to do to get ready for my new job teaching second grade at Laurel Hill Primary School. I am so excited to be teaching 10 minutes from home at the school my girls will attend!

NY Trip...

We enjoyed spending lots of time with family and friends in NY last week.

We threw my mom a surprise birthday party to celebrate 60 years. She was definitely surprised and it was lots of fun!
Mary made the cutest chocolate lollipops for the kids!
It was great to see lots of family at the party that I haven't seen in a while and meet baby Hope (my cousin's little cutie).

Grace swam like a fish every day in my parent's pool. She now loves to jump in and swim all by herself!
So proud of our little swimmer!
Playing in the pool with Uncle Mike.
Jake
It was fun to see lots of friends and their kids. Last time I saw Katy she was a newborn, look at that smile!

We had fun at a local fair.

We celebrated Alli's 6th birthday!

Lily and Madison ~ Two Cuties!

After eating at Oconee Diner with Aunt Danielle and Madison.

The girls had fun at White Post Farms.

We spent a day with friends on their boat and went to Fire Island.

We swam in the bay and ate at Flo's.

Our Lily Bug!

My parent's took Grace back to NY for a few days. She just loves being part of the gang at Nana's daycare and spending time with family! The first day everyone left Lily seemed a little sad, she was asking where Grace was and looking around for everyone else. We went out to dinner that night with some friends and she got lots of extra attention. On Sunday I asked her if she wanted to see Grace and her response was, "no". I think she is getting a little too comfortable being the only child!

Me and My Lily
This little girl amazes me every day. She watches Grace use the potty all the time and has recently wanted to use it every time I take her diaper off. She has successfully put pee pee in the potty four times this week! I don't think she is quite ready to be potty trained, but this is a good start (I honestly think if I threw M&M's in the mix she would do it!).
We have had lots of fun giving Lily some special love this week! I arranged a play date with the twins in our neighborhood that are her same age. She had a blast playing with them at the aquarium and eating lunch at Chick-fil-a.

Trying to get a kiss!

Sweet Kate!
Lily and I leave for NY in the morning. I am hoping she will do great on the plane and love seeing Grace as much as I do when we arrive. Brooks will meet us there on Friday, we are excited about visiting with family and friends!

Jake's Stay and Mom's Birthday

Jake decided to stay with Nana and Papa this visit. It was the first time he ever stayed by himself and I think he had a great time! Grace and Lily just adore him - Lily called him Jack the whole time and is still looking around for him. I think the highlight of his stay was that he was tall enough to drive the go-carts at Blackbeard's Cove all by himself!

Grace rode with Papa in my favorite car!

Nanny, Nana and Lily cheered them on...

We also took Grace and Jake to a Riverdogs game.

And we took all three kids to Grace's new favorite place:
Monkey Joe's (lots of jump castle indoor fun!)

We celebrated Nana's birthday on Friday. She wasn't too
happy about the number, but I think she enjoyed the cake...
and the photo book that I made her.
