Rocking Giraffe

Grace got this giraffe from Mimi and Booker for Christmas. She has recently learned to climb on and rock back and forth. When you press his ear he laughs (I guess that's because giraffes don't really make a certain sound). Grace loves to laugh with him and give him kisses!

Rosebank Farms

After the beach, we stopped at Rosebank Farms. They sell produce, but also have a small petting zoo. Grace enjoyed looking at all the animals.

The parrot could say, "Hi There!"

Beach Day

We took Grace to the beach for the first time this year. She wasn't a big fan of the ocean, but hopefully she will change her mind by the end of the summer. She had a blast playing in the tide pools, building sandcastles and just running free. When we got there she sat and played under our umbrella for a while. Then I opened my mouth and said, " I thought she would run away more." As soon as I said it, she took off running and we chased her around the rest of the day. Sometimes I forget that she understands just about everything we say!

Beads

Ever since the Cajun festival, Grace has become a huge fan of beads. A few of my old necklaces have provided lots of entertainment for her. She loves to take them on and off over and over, and for some reason this is more fun when she doesn't have a shirt on (she runs away before her bath to play with her beads.) We have decided that she can never go to Mardi Gras!

SC Aquarium

We went to the aquarium on Sunday with Mimi and Booker.

Grace really enjoyed looking at all the fish and other animals.

Her favorite part of the day was playing in the boat. She loved touching all the buttons, driving the boat and just being around all the other kids.

Happy Birthday Mimi

Mimi and Booker came for a visit this weekend. Mimi's b-day is next weekend so we decided to celebrate while she was here. Grace really loves singing the "Happy Birthday" song, so we find any excuse to sing it.

Grace really wanted to touch the pretty candles.

Blog Debut

Our Trip to Florida

My parents and I drove down to Florida to visit with family over spring break. My two sisters and Steve met us there by plane. We started off by celebrating the engagement of Kristen and Steve.

Grace had lots of fun at Aunt Lois and Uncle Frankie's community pool. The water was still a little cold, but she warmed up to it.

We had a surprise party for Nanny to celebrate her 80th birthday. Her face was priceless when she saw all of us! She started to cry after the surprise and just couldn't believe we were all there.

Happy Easter

Grace and I are heading to Florida tomorrow with my parents. We are going to visit my Aunt Lois, Uncle Frankie and cousins. We are also surprising my Nanny for her 80th birthday! Poor Brooks has to stay and work, but we will be back on Sunday. I thought I would post some Easter pictures now, since I will have lots of FL pictures to post when we get back.
