Soccer

Grace joined soccer this year and is loving it! I think she mostly likes it because she gets to play against lots of her little friends. She isn't too aggressive, but when she gets the ball she's pretty good at passing it to someone that can get a goal. I am proud of her for trying her best and being a team player. Here are

Go Grace!

Poppy

Poppy passed away last week, just shortly after celebrating his 90th birthday. I feel so lucky that I was able to spend some time with him before he left us. I'll always remember the good times we shared and cherish the stories he told. The girls will forever have their collection of quarters that he gave them and  I have recently displayed the gold covered rose that he gave me for my wedding. It was nice to be able to spend time with family in New York and look through old pictures and laugh and cry. Brooks did a great job of taking care of the girls while I was gone, the house was cleaner than when I left if you could believe it (love you honey!).

Go Gamecocks!

My parents and Poppy/Nanny arrived on Thursday, just in time to help us celebrate the the first game of the season. Grace really wanted to wear her uniform to school, but because of the school "uniform" colors I couldn't let her. She settled for wearing her garnet and black bow and a sticker (and changed immediately when she got home).
She sure did make her daddy proud!

Papa was not messing around after that looong drive!

Love my Dad!

Poppy even got into the spirit!
