Trick-or-Treat
Grace had fun trick-or-treating with the big girls.
We hitched a ride back home on a golf cart,
Grace was worn out after all the excitement!

Halloween Weekend

Some Halloween Shots

Mimi came to stay with us on Friday so that Brooks and I could go to a concert that night. It was a fun night out and we enjoyed seeing Band of Horses. We sure did appreciate her help and the girls loved having her here.

On Saturday night we finally got around
to carving and painting our pumpkins.

Peeking in the Pumpkin

It took some convincing, but she felt the slimy insides.

Lily had fun watching everyone.

Happy 1st Birthday Lily!

O.K. So I definitely stole this idea from The Dean Family , such a cute idea to see how Lily has changed each month. Lily's first year has flown by and she has changed so much throughout the year. She has recently started walking and is so proud of herself with each step she takes! Lily loves to dance, she loves balloons and bubbles and really likes being outside. Her favorite foods are bananas, peas, cheese and fries. She loves her bottle which I think will be hard for her to give up as I wean these next few months. Can't imagine life without Lily, and as fast as this year has gone by, it's hard to remember life without her. We love you Lily!

Watch Me Grow..
For some reason she looks smaller at 2 months??

Yes, months is spelled wrongin this one.
That's what happened when Lily kept picking up
the blocks when I trying to take the picture :)

Children's Day Festival

On Sunday, we spent the afternoon at the Mount Pleasant Children's Day Festival. This is a free event that the town puts together every year around this time. There are so many fun things for the kiddos to do and we had a blast!

We started our day with a ride on the Thomas Train. This was a perfect ride for us because Lily could go on too. Grace sang, "Chuga chuga choo choo, chugging down the track" the whole entire ride. We also ended our day here as Grace convinced me to ride one more time before we headed home.

Next we fed a Llama and then went on a pony ride...

We met up with some friends, here is Lily and Lauren -BFF's

Lily Loves to Dance!

Grace had just s much fun in this as she did last year. It is not quite a jump castle, but it's bouncy and has little slides and things to go through. I think she would have spent all day in here if I let her. Click here to see a picture from last year.

Jump, jump, jump!
With no nap for Grace and only one for Lily (and lots of exercise and fresh air) the girls were wore out and in bed early. Grace even fell asleep in my arms as I was reading her books. What a great Sunday!

Run for Rina

Our good friend Christina organized a run in honor of her sister who passed away last year. Although I was never lucky enough to meet Rina, I know she was amazing person, mother, sister, friend, etc..!

This event is held in memory of Rina Agriss Blair on what would have been her 41st birthday. Join us as we celebrate her life, the positive impact she had on so many and to raise awareness about melanoma and to support the Melanoma International Foundation in their misison to reduce the burden of melanoma.

Christina, Clare and Grace (enjoying a Rina cookie).
Brooks got out of running this year, but we all enjoyed the food and fun after the race. It was such a beautiful day and event.

Pumpkin Patch - Part 2

I kept my promise (and believe me Grace doesn't ever forget when I promise something) and took the girls back to the pumpkin patch to go on the hayride. They had a great time and the weather was a little cooler, so it felt more like fall.

Riding the Tractor
My sister gives me lots of hand me down stuff since she also has two girls, the cowgirl boots are one of my favorites. At first she didn't want to wear them, but when I told her they were Alli's she put them right on.
