Summer Slow Down...

The girls and I have really enjoyed summer days and summer schedules (they are going to bed late and sleeping late which will need to change soon). Every morning Lily wakes up and asks where daddy is, she just doesn't understand why he has to miss out on all the fun! We have been busy this summer with lots of fun trips, but here at home we have had some fun too. Some of our fun has included swim team, movies, beach days, play dates, LOTS of time at the pool and just hanging out in the alley. Lily can start school on Monday and I have been up to school a few times with the girls to unpack and set up my classroom "inside!" Summer is almost over and my brain is already off vacation with lots of ideas and classroom plans running through it! Here are a few pictures from the past few weeks...

City Fun

We spent a day in the city and our first stop was FAO....

Nana took them to the
nursery to adopt babies.

The nurse asked them lots of questions and they had to sign a very important document. Grace named her baby Gabrielle Elizabeth and Lily named hers Elizabeth Butterfly (although now her name is Grace). They love their new babies and are very good little mommies!

NY

We began our trip to New York by attending grandpa's wake and funeral. My cousin made a beautiful picture slideshow, we ate good food with family, I was touched by the presentation of the flag in honor of grandpa's service to the navy and my dad gave a nice speech at dinner. It is always great to be surrounded by family...
