Princess Tea Party

Papa came for a visit and we had lots of fun spending time with him. He took us out to eat and we went to the The Children's Museum for a tea party with Cinderella. He was really excited (a good sport about going) to see all the princesses.

Happy Valentine's Day

Daddy's Girls

 Sweet Grace

Lily Love-bug

The girls are excited about Valentine's Day at school (I will need a little extra patience)! I am looking forward to going to their parties after school and seeing how excited they get about looking at all the little cards from their friends. Hopefully my Valentine and I will get some time to enjoy a glass of wine together - I love you Brooks!

Cute Story: We were putting the girls to bed the other night and Lily asked Brooks to lay with her. As they lay in bed she asked, "Why can't you say no to me daddy?" He asked her what she meant and she explained that he always says yes when she asks him to lay with her (unlike mommy who usually says no because I know Grace needs me to tuck her in bed next). He sure does love his little girls!

Funny Story: Grace has been learning about dental health at school. The other night she said, "When my baby teeth fall out, I will get big teeth and my mouth will grow. Then I can drink wine..."

I picked Lily up right after school on Thursday and she was coughing like crazy. She ended up with a fever that night, so we stayed home and did lots of snuggling on Friday. We watched Mary Poppins (a new favorite), read books and did lots of nebulizer treatments. That night, Grace had a sleepover two houses down for the second time. She had a blast and Lily REALLY enjoyed all the extra attention that night. On Saturday our neighborhood had an oyster roast down at the dock. Luckily Lily was feeling better enough to make it because it was lots of fun!

On Sunday we went to the playground and brought along some of the neighborhood girls.
I took lots of pics with Brooks' phone...

We are looking forward to Valentine's Day and another three day weekend!!

Valentine' Party

Grace's teacher is very smart. She decided to have all the kids in the class decorate their Valentine boxes at home (believe me, kids tend to get even more excited about Valentine's Day than Christmas at school!). I've been wanting to organize a play date with the girls in her class, so we decided to invite them for a Valentine's craft party so they could all decorate their boxes together. Grace was just so excited and couldn't wait for her friends to arrive! We kept it simple and bought some snacks and lots of stickers from the $1 section at Target. They had a blast!

After crafts, they had a blast playing together in the house and jumping outside.
They are such a sweet group of girls!
