Happy Fall!

We spent our last Sunday as a family of three celebrating fall. It was a perfect day for it since we finally had some fall-like weather in Charleston.
We took Grace to a fall festival and she had a blast jumping and sliding. She was very daring and climbed up high to go down this one...

After the festival, we headed to the
pumpkin patch for some more fall fun.

It is hard to believe that we will be a family of four in just a few days!

Halloween Preview

We convinced Grace to try on her Halloween costume this weekend. She finally agreed to wear it when daddy told her he would make her "fly." Here are some shots of our cute little bumble bee:

Even bumble bees like to hold their "silkie."
I think she will have lots of fun trick-or-treating this year!

Grace's New Best Friend

Last night we went to Jeff and Katie's house to watch the Gamecocks play. Grace had so much fun playing with Lucy (Katie's parents' dog). She played ball with Lucy "Lula" and chased her around the house. Lucy was such a sweet dog... I'm just waiting for the day Grace tells her daddy she wants a dog.

Still Unpacking...

Mimi and Booker came down on Sunday to help us out for the day. Grace was highly entertained and kept busy while I was able to unpack and organize some more. Brooks and his dad moved lots of furniture and we finally have some dressers in the nursery. I am definitely in the nesting stage and want everything clean and organized, so this was a big help.

Here is a shot of Grace and Mimi in the playroom. She had lots of fun reading books with her Mimi and Booker before bedtime.

Baby Update

Last week when I went to the doctor, they checked on the position of my placenta and it moved. I'm so thankful that I didn't have to go on bed rest!
I am scheduled to have a c-section on October 21st, which also happens to be my dad's 60th birthday. What a special present he will get!

Getting Settled

We are starting to get settled into our new house. There are still plenty of boxes to unpack and even more to be brought over from the townhouse, but it is beginning to feel like home. We took a break from unpacking on Saturday to explore the new neighborhood with Grace. She seems to be adjusting well and loving her new house.

We walked to the dock...
and the playground.

It was a nice break and such a beautiful day!
